Okay so Madrun is yet another game that may not fit into your definition of a racing game, but for me, I think this one really deserves a spot on this list, and maybe after hearing what it has to offer, you’ll think so too.

So, yes, you may not have a car or drifting, but you do have the goal of reaching the finish line and reach it before your friends.

So, the game can be played single-player, but I highly recommend playing this with friends.

This game allows up to 7 players and your goal is to reach the end of the level before your friends, but of course, it isn’t that easy.

There are 20 levels as of right now and they are all loaded with all kinds of power-ups and items so you can create as much chaos as possible to prevent your friends from beating you.

You can also play a timed solo mode where you try and beat your own time, but as I said before, this game is way better with friends.

It may not fit the exact look of what a racing game usually looks like, but I think the game is a whole lot of fun and definitely worth playing and racing against friends.

DRIFT21 is a comprehensive racing simulation set in the birthplace of drifting, Japan. Developed by ECC Games S.A., the game was released in June 2021 and has garnered mostly positive reviews.

It can be played either in single-player career mode, where you can strive to be a drifting legend as you build and tune your own car to perfection.

Changing parts in DRIFT21 is also visually pleasing, with realistic animations of almost two thousand specific parts available to be fitted in your car.

DRIFT21 is filled with iconic drifting cars that are officially licensed to be used in-game. You can burn the tires of the most popular car in the drifting scene, the grandaddy, the Trueno AE86.

Aside from famous cars, you are also given access to legendary circuits in Japan that were faithfully recreated using LaserScan technology.

DRIFT21 is full of drifting content with seven different single-player modes and five main multiplayer game modes. The game is a great blend of car mechanic simulation and drift racing, and it will be a great purchase for any drift race gaming fan.

Kinda similar to Project Torque, the game is a little bit of an older one, being made in 2008, is on steam and allows you to play online with friends and other players, and also a pretty impressive campaign with a ton of tracks and game modes.

The campaign alone has at least 65 different tracks, and if you somehow get through all of that you can also use an in-game level editor, where you can make your own tracks.

Honestly, this game is probably one of the truest free games I’ve seen in a long time. It gives you so much and really doesn’t have any hidden agendas. The developers just want to provide an enjoyable experience.

Also, you’ll be happy to hear that the game is also extremely easy to run on low-end PC’s, so I really recommend checking out TrackMania.

8. FORWARD

Like I mentioned before, Similar to Turbo Tunnel, FORWARD is another retro style racing game, but it does actually differ from Turbo Tunnel quite a bit.

So, why do I say it’s different? Well aside from the art style looking similar, the game actually follows a more traditional racing game type style than Turbo Tunnel.

Forward isn’t endless, instead, you actually do have different levels and you have to reach the finish line. And instead of the obstacles just being there to take your lives, they slow you down, which in turn affects your end finish time.

So, this motivates you to avoid as many as you can so you can get a better score and reach the finish line in the fastest possible time.

Obviously, you aren’t getting hundreds of hours of content here, but even though you have a limited amount of maps, you always have that need to want to beat your previous score.

I really like the gameplay from this one and I think even though it may not be exactly what you may think of when you think of a racing game, it offers the same addicting gameplay.

Forza Horizon 4 — последняя на данный момент часть гоночной серии Forza. 9 марта 2021 года она вышла в Steam. Однако некоторые пользователи столкнулись с неожиданными проблемами, прежде всего, с подключением игрового руля. В этой статье мы поговорим о том, как устранить эту проблему.

Как подключить руль в Forza Horizon 4

Для начала убедитесь, что ваш игровой руль входит в список поддерживаемых устройств

Обратите особое внимание на рули, которые предназначены только для Xbox One (Xbox One only). Использовать их нежелательно — могут возникнуть ошибки.

Что делать, если Forza Horizon не видит руль

Убедитесь, что ваш компьютер распознаёт руль как отдельное USB-устройство. Если ваш ПК «не видит» его, то проблема в USB-порте, кабеле или руле. Нужно выяснить, в каком именно устройстве проблема. Попробуйте заменить кабель или подключитьcя к другому порту USB. Руль тоже можно проверить на другом компьютере.

Если же компьютер определяет руль, но он не появляется в настройках Forza Horizon 4, то дело в самой игре. Решить эту проблему можно при помощи эмулятора геймпада Xbox 360. Скачать его можно здесь. Выберите пункт «Скачать для всех игр» (Download for all games). Распакуйте архив и установите эмулятор на ваш компьютер.

Настройка эмулятора:

1. Нажмите на вкладку Issues (проблемы) и скачайте все недостающие файлы.
2. Кликните на меню «+Add» (дополнительно) и среди устройств выберите ваш руль.
3. Запустите Steam. Откройте «Настройки», затем — «Контроллер», «Основные настройки контроллера» и поставьте галочку напротив пункта «Пользовательские настройки контроллера Xbox».

Подключение руля:

1. Вместе кнопок LT и RT задайте педали «тормоз» и «газ» соответственно.
2. Вместо одно из стиков назначьте ваш руль.
3. Свободные кнопки назначьте на клавиши на руле.
4. Устраните мёртвые зоны и настройте чувствительность руля и педалей. Можете выбрать один из готовых наборов настроек.

Настройки игры:

1. Удостоверьтесь, что Steam обнаружил ваш геймпад Xbox 360. Для этого перейдите в «Настройки», а затем откройте «Основные настройки контроллера». В нижнем углу должен отображаться геймпад. Если этого не произошло — перезапустите эмулятор.
2. Запустите игру. В меню настроек контроллера выберите «Схему по умолчанию 1».
3. Убедитесь, что все кнопки геймпада имеют свои аналоги на вашем руле.

Если указанный способ не помогает, придётся ждать патчей. Или приобрести новый игровой руль.
